The history of the shop in the structure of the Works, as a matter of fact, has only started. 
In 1989 “Zaporozhrudprom” of the Ministry of Industrial Building Material of Ukrain handed over its slag pit to Zaporizhstal. The Works demanded increase of the production volume. The shop got immediately equipped with two powerful excavators EKG-5. 
The main production of the shop is extraction of steel and pig-iron scrap from industrial waste, production of open-hearth and blast furnace ballast, granulated slag. Granulated slag is used as raw material for cement works. |
