The train preparation shop is a new department. It became a separate division in 1983. Before that it was included in the open-hearth furnace shop.  
In 20 years almost all the bridge cranes were replaced. The section where ingot moulds were cleaned was mechanized. The appearance of the shop has changed. There are 3 public gardens on its territory now.
The train preparation shop consists of the following sections: preparation of the trains for bottom pouring of steel, for pouring killed steel grades, ingot stripping, mechanical cleaning and lubricating of ingot moulds, store house.  
The capacity of the shop allows to pour 13 000 tons of steel in the ingot moulds per day. The shop is equipped with 16 electric bridge cranes, including 4 ingot stripping cranes. The shop has 27 steel pouring trains and 25 trains for transportation of ingot moulds. |
