The tinplate coils should be wrapped up in imitation parchment — (1) as shown in fig. 1 and 2 followed by bag paper — (2). Over and under the coil the sheets of waterproof cardboard — (3) should be placed or sheets of two-ply watertight paper. Between the turns of tinplate coil the newsprint paper should be laid. If agreed by the parties the coils can be delivered without paper between the turns.
The packed coils should be positioned between two or more wooden stools — (4) secured by two steel strips.
Total mass of the coil stack should not exceed 1.5 Mt.
The bottom stool should be fitted with three supporting bars with the section of not less than 60 x 60 mm.
If agreed with the customer the total mass of packed stacks should not exceed 1 Mt.
