Let Say Thanks to the Medical Workers: the Action #Дякуємомедикам Launched in Ukraine

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation together with the “Ukraina” TV channel launch a special project #Дякуємомедикам (“Diakuiemo medykam” – We thank the medical workers). This action focuses on the daily feat of people in white coats. The Foundation and the “Ukraina” TV Channel urge you to say thanks to Ukrainian medical workers for their selfless work in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

Every sixth Ukrainian with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 is a medical worker. As of yet, over 2300 doctors and medical workers are infected with this dangerous disease. These are exactly the people who are now at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.

Despite the high risk of infection, tens of thousands of doctors, orderlies, paramedics, laboratory assistants and nurses continue to save the lives of Ukrainians in the face of epidemic.

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has been helping in fight against the COVID epidemic since February. In full coordination with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, three main areas of assistance were identified: personal protective equipment for medical workers, rapid tests and the most important equipment (analyzers for laboratories and ALV devices for resuscitation departments).

“We are doing everything to make their work safer. Moreover, whenever we give the necessary equipment or tests, we say thanks to the medical workers, because their work is a real feat for each one of us. Thousands of health care workers and nurses are included in this fight. In addition, so that everyone can hear the words of gratitude, we want to speak them every day until the end of quarantine, to the whole country. We say thanks to all the medical workers, without any exception! ”, said Natalia Yemchenko, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Under the project #Дякуємомедикам, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the “Ukraina” TV channel will tell the whole country stories of heroes whose exploits often go unnoticed.

Anyone can join the action. For doing this, you need just to write on social networks about the medical workers who you personally are grateful. Post your story with the hashtag #Дякуємомедикам. Let the whole country know about her heroes!
