According to Andrey Shipko oncological diseases are not the payback of the civilization for the progress and evolution. The disease has always accompanied humans:

– Cancer – is a disease, that did not emerge on its own.It has existed as long as the mankind has.It was just the description for it that could be made during a certain period.Particularly, a court physician recorded Pharaoh Rameses the Third’s oncological disease.

He also emphasized the importance of early cancer diagnosis:

– Unfortunately, annually 140,000 Ukrainians get this malady. According to the data of world premier scientific publications, during the coronavirus pandemic this disappointing statistics is on the rise. Therefore preventive healthcare and a person’s way of life are extremely important.Especially early diagnosis, because the rate of curing cancer at early stages is very high – 97-99%. Do not hesitate, look after yourself and visit a family doctor!Your way of life is 50% of good health.

Moreover, the doctor also said, that the diagnosis of cancer is not a sentence.

– The main thing is not to be afraid. Currently technology, science and methods of treatment advance very rapidly. And I believe this issue will be solved. The breakthrough is in process, we feel it.I believe that the mankind will get the cure from cancer shortly, – said Andrey Shipko.

According to him, National Cancer Institute already uses state-of-the-art units when doing a surgery. They make it possible to ruin sites of metastases even in the smallest manifestation.

Olga Ligirda, in turn, urged women to treat their health more seriously.

– Breast cancer in Ukraine is first in line among women’s oncological diseases.Every year the morbidity and mortality rate from this pathology increases. In 2019 six cases of breast cancer among girls under 17 years old were recorded. This is a pressing issue, that needs to be addressed not only by oncologists, but also by Ukrainian women themselves. Moreover, breast cancer occurs among 1% of men!- explained the doctor.

Olga Ligirda also said that one of the ways to avoid breast cancer is control over your way of life.

– It is necessary to move more, avoid bad habits and obesity issues, that is very relevant nowadays for our population. Negative effect also may be caused by late first delivery and gynecological disorders – said the expert.

#RAKNEVYROK by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation was a logical continuation of the CANCER CAN BE CURED program. The Foundation launched this programme in 2008, and it was the first and largest program in Ukraine to help adult cancer patients. About 400,000 Ukrainians (a total of 1.2 million people with cancer in Ukraine) received help thanks to it. We are talking about the procurement of diagnostic equipment for oncological clinics in Ukraine and equipment for complex operations, the launch of mobile antenatal clinics and much more. Every fourth resident of Ukraine has access to modern diagnostic equipment provided by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation to medical institutions in the country
