Today, 300,000 coronavirus express tests purchased by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation arrived on a cargo board from China to Boryspil.

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation will hand over all tests to the Ministry of Health for the diagnosis of COVID-19 throughout Ukraine. They were delivered to Ukraine with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine. This is the largest batch of diagnostic materials within the framework of the Coronavirus Foundation’s program in Ukraine. In the near future, the Fund will pass another 20,000 such tests.
– 300,000 express tests are already in Borispol. In the list of medical needs, which the Ministry of Health transferred to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, tests along with mechanical ventilation devices were noted as the first priority. Timely testing and identification of patients is one of the main tools in the fight against the epidemic. The founder of the Fund set the task to help the country as soon as possible and purchase at least 300 thousand tests and at least 200 ventilation devices. The fund managed to solve this difficult task and begin delivery of tests and equipment within a few days. This is Rinat Akhmetov’s contribution to the fight against the epidemic, ”said Natalya Emchenko, a member of the Fund’s Supervisory Board.
Rinat Akhmetov allocates 300 million hryvnias to fight COVID-19. To help the country, he combined all the resources: a charity fund, FC Shakhtar, DTEK, Metinvest and other SCM assets. In particular, at least 200 ventilators and other equipment for saving people will be additionally purchased.
In addition, representatives of Rinat Akhmetov’s team are included in the work of the regional headquarters for the fight against coronavirus in Donetsk, Lugansk, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. As well as the work of headquarters in the cities where the SKM group operates – in the Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk regions. These headquarters were established by order of the President of Ukraine.
The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation back in February, according to the personal decision of the Founder, was the first in the country to respond to the global challenge of the threat of the coronavirus pandemic. Equipment for the effective treatment of COVID-19 complications has already been purchased and transferred to the Ministry of Health: high-quality mechanical ventilation apparatus (IVL) SERVO-I UNIVERSAL and SERVO AIR of Swedish manufacture and oxygen concentrators.
The Foundation also purchased and donated personal protective equipment for Ukrainian doctors: a unique insulating mobile box for transporting infectious patients EgoZlin biobag EBV, a protective biological and anti-chemical suit with an EOBO-20 EgoZlin filter and ventilation unit, protective disposable overalls against chemicals, infrared thermometers with a laser pointer, multi-layer respirators, face masks, goggles.
Another 22 ventilators were installed in neonatal ambulances transferred by the Foundation to all regions of the country under the project “200 ambulances for Ukraine”.
The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation also purchases coronavirus rapid test analyzers complete with test cartridges for them.
