Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is traditionally the first in Ukraine to start the baton of New Year’s greetings and gifts. The action “Rinat Akhmetov to Children” is a personal initiative of Rinat Akhmetov. This tradition is more than 20 years old. Over the years of Action existence its format has been changing, but the goal and philosophy have remained unchanged – to give warmth and care to children. This year, almost 100,000 children will receive presents and greetings from Rinat Akhmetov on New Year’s Eve.
– The action “Rinat Akhmetov to Children” is not just gifts for thousands of children, it is a touch to their fates that changes lives of children for the better and gives faith in a miracle,” said Irina Blazhan, the chief director of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation programmes.
One of the first families to share the New Year atmosphere with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation this year has become the Molyar family. For almost 10 years, Andrei and Natalia Molyary have been changing the lives of children, giving them warmth and love, and creating family traditions that will stay with the children for life. With the wonderful family Rinat Akhmetov Foundation got acquainted in 2017, and since that time family-type orphanage of Molyary has not missed a single event organised by the Foundation.
– Rinat Akhmetov Foundation congratulates us every year on the New Year, and that is very pleasant. Those presents, those children’s eyes that receive presents. What could be better when the children are happy and smiling. We are very grateful to Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for everything – said Natalia Molyar.
The Zagnitko family, who was forced to leave its native Makiivka because of the war in Donbass, has not been neglected. Since the acquaintance with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation children have become active participants of Foundation programmes and projects.
Surprises and New Year gifts also received children from the family-type orphanage of Natalya Sidorenko from Mariupol. Natalya created the family-type orphanage in 2018 and she was inspired by her own daughter, Nastya.
– I believe that the support that Rinat Akhmetov Foundation gives to children is very important and means a lot to them. Thanks to the Foundation for helping and not leaving children in difficult situations – noted Natalya Sidorenko, a mother-tutor of the family-type orphanage.
The action “Rinat Akhmetov to Children!” is a tradition of kindness and personal involvement in children’s lives of Rinat Akhmetov. In just the most recent 14 years the gifts from Rinat Akhmetov have been received by almost 1,000,000 children.
