Vinnytsia Region Received the Rapid Tests to Detect Coronavirus for Ambulance Workers from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation transferred 2,875 test systems to detect COVID-19 to the Vinnytsia Regional Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine. Rapid tests are designed to test ambulance crews, which come to patients with suspected coronavirus.

“Medical workers are related to a special risk group. It primarily concerns medical workers and medical staff of ambulance crews, in order to protect them and prevent the further spread of the virus, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, in addition to 300 thousand tests submitted to state hospitals in Ukraine, purchased another 20,000 test systems for the employees of emergency medical centers. The tests are distributed between the Regional Centers of Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Lviv and Zhytomyr. There are nearly 10 000 health-care workers in such medical care centers, who are at high risk of contracting the virus. “, said Natalia Yemchenko, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

Accepting the certificate for tests receiving, the deputy head of the Vinnytsia regional state administration Natalya Zabolotnaya thanked the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for helping the medical workers.

“I want to express my gratitude to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Today, the health preserving of health care workers, primarily ambulance workers, is extremely important, because they are our first weapon in the fight against coronavirus. ”, explained Natalya Zabolotnaya.

In Vinnytsia region, about 2,000 emergency workers are involved in the fight against coronavirus. The head doctor of the Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine, Anatoly Pirnikoza emphasized that today care for health care workers plays a crucial role.
