Eight life-size puppets, as well as a mobile speaker system, were purchased thanks to the victory in the contest of social initiatives “We Are City” made by “Zaporizhstal” PJSC. The “Skazkodar project” for social adaptation and rehabilitation of children received a grant worth 85 thousand UAH.
Now the Center’s educators will be able to carry out vivid retreats for the children of the entire city: entertain, help in psychological development and adaptation. In addition, of course, the everyday life of 240 pupils of the Center, among whom there are children with disabilities and children who are engaged in social and pedagogical patronage, will become even more interesting.
At the festival, cartoon characters played games, song and danced in a ring with kids. Moreover, this day the cartoon characters arranged a real fair for children. Everyone could find entertainments to their liking: quizzes, sports competitions, various games and master classes. Fairy-tale heroes helped kids win in various competitions and have fun.
Anna Kuz, educator and methodologist at the Nadezhda Child Development Center said following: “Thanks to this project, we will be able to carry out such special events in the form of fairytale therapy or art therapy with the involvement of various reaches of society and categories of children in theatrical activities. These are children with special needs, and our students, these are graduates of our center and residents of the area who can participate in our fabulous holidays. Having no doubt this project is a means of positive socialization of different reaches of society and categories to an active social life”.
