One of the projects in the field of energy efficiency in the seventh season of the contest “We are city” was the initiative of the apartment building co-owners association at the address of “Professor Tolok 35”.
The idea to change the windows in the entrances of residents was born a long time ago, but there was no money for its implementation. This year, the residents of the house submitted an application for the contest of social initiatives “We are city”. Thanks to the victory and the grant of 50 thousand UAH. It has become possible to replace partially the old broken windows in two entrances with new ones, which are energy saving. Therefore, the residents of the house hope to save heat in the cold season. Residents of the house living down Professor Tolok street are not going to stop there. Their goal is to replace all remaining windows until the end of this year.
“Why is it so important for us, members of the expert council of the contest, to support such projects? Because the residents are not indifferent, they “spur” their neighbors, thereby showing that only jointly and by common efforts can realize any projects, and of course, we will always support them”, said Viktor Bus’ko, chairperson of the expert council of the contest “We are city”.
Sergey Tkachenko, chairperson of apartment building co-owners association “Professor Cleanup 35”: “Our house is an example for other young condominiums, where we can write a project and win, as we did in the social contest “We are city”. We only exist for eight months as a condominium, but we already have real results: thanks to the installed windows our house will save money on energy efficiency”.
