Zaporizhzhia students, who study technical specialties, will be able to take part in the competition for a personal scholarship from “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works.
Students from Zaporizhzhia National University, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Zaporizhzhia State Academy of Engineering, as well as students of metallurgical college of Academy of Engineering get scholarships.
Sergey Koypysh, Head of Department for Personnel Selection, Recruitment and Development of PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, explained how the best students who will receive the scholarship are determined:
– Together with universities, we select talented young people with good academic performance and high grades. Ultimately, those who want to develop further in the steel industry. We give these students additional motivation as “Zaporizhstal” personal scholarships. The student has to intern at our company. He has also to be involved in our projects of continuous improvement, participate in the submission of proposals for the improvement of production, participate in scientific and technical creativity, as well as in sports and cultural work at the enterprise.
The names of the scholars will be known after the mid-term exams. The best students of universities will receive a scholarship in the amount of UAH 1700, Academy of Engineering and metallurgical college – UAH 1200.
The Steel Works provides all possibilities for students with a technical degree to develop and gain practical knowledge in their field. The Steel Works accepts students from technical universities as interns, and also provides training for all those who want to receive a trade job with further employment. In addition, for the sixth year, the practice of master classes from leading specialists of “Zaporizhstal”, who hold lectures for students on various topics related to production, has been held.
