400 Zaporizhzhia students received their first scholarships from Metinvest

According to the Memorandum of Cooperation, signed in May this year between Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest and city universities, 2.2 million UAH were allocated for the payment of scholarships in the first semester of the academic year 2019/2020. The first registered scholarships from Metinvest were awarded to 400 students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and ZNU. The total amount of social investments of the company will be more than 5.3 million UAH.

Metinvest supports talented, ambitious children in their quest for the development of competencies, the formation of a career in production. For such young people, the company implements a scholarship program, the participants of which can be only the best students of specialties specialized for Metinvest, studying in 1-4 undergraduate courses, as well as in the first year of graduate school. When compiling the rating of the best students, their performance, involvement in Metinvest projects, internships at the company’s enterprises, etc. were taken into account. When determining first-year scholars, the commission paid attention to their competitive score when they entered the university and participated in Metinvest Olympiads.

Also, in the framework of cooperation between Metinvest and Zaporizhzhia higher and secondary educational institutions, on November 6, the student case championship “M. Student Champ” will be presented in the city. Students of Zaporizhzhia will solve real production problems and offer their innovative ideas. The best of them will be introduced into production, and the authors will receive the right of priority employment to the company’s enterprises.

Let us recall, that on May 23, 2019 Metinvest signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National University of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic and ZNU. The agreement consolidated the general desire of socially responsible business and higher education institutions to improve the level of training of future industrialists.
