On 15th of January in the reception house of the government of Ukraine the awarding ceremony of the laureates of the all-Ukrainian project “Ecology, environment and use of natural resources in Ukraine” took place.
The priority task of this project has become the comprehensive coverage of activities of leading enterprises, which contribute to the sustainable development and efficient use of natural-resource potential of the country, to the achievement of the balanced coexistence of environment, state and society. Besides this the development of mutually profitable cooperation between European and international institutions was considered.
The ecological policy conducted by Zaporizhstal JSC, as well as environmental measures and projects carried out by the Works were acknowledged at the state level and marked by rewards in the nomination “For the introduction of contemporary ecologically safe technologies”. The diploma, which was entrusted to the chief specialist for environmental protection and radiation safety of the Works N. Silin, was signed by the Minister of Environmental Protection of Ukraine G. Filipchuk and Head of the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for ecological policy aspects, use of natural resources and rectification of the consequences of the Chernobyl’ catastrophe A. Semenoga.
