Rostislav Shurma has handed over to sportsmen-paralympians the cash testimonials and has declared that the Iron and Steel Works will give henceforth the maximum support to sportsmen and to create as much as possible comfortable conditions for their trainings and preparation for the future competitions.

As a part of Ukrainian picked team Zaporozhye area was represented by: Maria Pomazan (track and field athletics) “gold” — shot put, “silver” — disk throwing; Alexey Fedin (swimming) “gold” — 100 m in breast stroke, “bronze” — 50 m in freestyle; Victoria Savtsova (swimming) “gold” — 100 m in breast stroke; Alexey Pashkov (track and field athletics) “silver” — disk throwing; Michael Popov (table tennis) “bronze”; Raisa Toparkova (powerlifting) — the 4th place; Maxim Nikolenko (table tennis) -the 4th place.
