In 2018, Zaporizhstal Works increased the shipment of metal products by river transport up to 674 thousand tons (573 thousand tons in 2017). Turkey, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia remain the key consumers of Zaporizhstal rolled stock sent for export by water transport.
“Protectionist measures in Europe have thoroughly adjusted the geography of our products supply,” said Zaporizhstal General Director Rostyslav Shurma. “Under the conditions of tough barriers in all markets, we have done everything possible to ensure full utilization of the production capacity of the enterprise and preserve our logistical advantages.”
Let us remind you, the Works resumed a strategic partnership with the Zaporozhye river port in October 2012. During this period, Zaporizhstal sent about 3.7 million tons of metal products to consumers from different countries of the world through the Zaporozhye river port.
