THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT OF “ZAPORIZHSTAL” STEEL WORKS WAS VOTED THE BEST IN UKRAINE FOR 2014

Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine under the Ukrainian competition has recognized collective agreement of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works the winner in nomination “Best Collective Agreement in the metallurgical and mining industry.” The award was presented at ceremonial meeting of the Central Commit-tee PMGU on the eve of Day of the Worker of metallurgical and mining industry.

The collective agreement of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works became the best in industry by several criterions. Thus the overall growth of salaries at the Works in 2014 equaled to 27.8% (the average salary in 2013 was UAH 5887.51, in 2014 – UAH 7521.87). In addition, in 2014 for health-improving season organization of 7 thousand em-ployees, 800 veterans and more than 1 thousand employees’ children the Works sent about USD 16 million. It should be also noted that at the expense of the Works employees received medical services amounting to more than UAH 8.3 million in specialized health care institutions.

This is closely related to working conditions, salary level, opportunities for a good rest, so that’s why we will do our best for further improvement in life quality of metallurgists, by helping and supporting our employees “, – said the CEO of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works Rostislav Shurma.

In 2014, the Works has fully carried out all guarantees of employees such as health improvement, support of veterans, development of culture and sport, payment of all types of financial assistance, rendering of address help to socially unprotected categories of population, that are associated with the Works. For example, in order to support veterans, the Works annually allocates about UAH 10.8 million.

During program implementation in 2014 capital-repairs, reconstruction and modernization of 36 objects with a total area of 2.8 thousand square meters were carried out. It is the administrative and domestic buildings, shift meetings rooms, dining rooms, as well as domestic and sanitary-hygienic facilities of production departments.
