Metinvest Polytechnic Launches Admission Process

The first non-state mining and metals university “Metinvest Polytechnic” will open its doors to students for the first time in September 2022. The educational institution offers both full-time (daytime) and extramural bachelor’s and master’s programs.

Metinvest Polytechnic invites everyone interested in obtaining quality higher education from the modern university with specially designed programs. The Admissions Office has already begun its work and is ready to answer all questions of interest.

The university offers 11 bachelor’s programs, such as materials science, mechatronics in the mining and metals sector, metallurgy, automation and computer-integrated technologies in the mining and metals sector, environmental protection technologies, open-pit and underground mining, occupational safety and manufacturing processes, computer science, business analytics, and value-based business management.

Admission to the bachelor’s programs is based on an external independent evaluation, and registration for enrolment is open until March 9, 2022.

There are 14 master’s programs : design of mechatronic systems, modern rolling mill technologies, sintermaking and blast furnace process, steel metallurgy, intelligent control systems in the mining and metals sector, innovative technologies and environmental protection systems, technologies of underground and open-pit mining, occupational safety auditing and consulting, local economy management and urbanism, computer science and digital intelligence, business processes and operational efficiency, organizational management and business administration.

Admission to the master’s programs requires a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must take the unified admission exam in a foreign language, as well as an admission exam specific to an academic discipline they enrol in at the university. For some programs (business process and operational efficiency, organizational management and business administration, local economy management and urbanism), applicants must take the unified professional admission exam. Registration for the exam in a foreign language and the unified admission exam will be open until May 17, 2022. To get a post-graduate degree, applicants only need to take the professional admission exam at the university.

At the first non-state mining and metals university “Metinvest Polytechnic” all disciplines are taught by teachers with great professional experience, continuously improve their skills and study the world’s best practices. The university is equipped to the highest standard, with the use of the modern digital technology. The largest VR-lab in Ukraine and an classroom with interactive SMART-displays are being set up. 15 engineering laboratories will be established together with Microsoft, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Festo. Students of “Metinvest Polytechnic” will get access to educational courses of the Microsoft Imagine Academy and the global learning platform Coursera.

They will have the opportunity of on-the-job training at the Metinvest Group enterprises, including those located abroad, combining work and study at part of the dual study system, participating in motivational grant programs from foreign partner universities, and getting a job at the assets of Metinvest Group upon graduation.

The university will have extensive infrastructure. There will be a sports complex and grounds, and a park for recreation. Students from other cities or towns will be housed in the modern, well-appointed dormitory.
