Over 9 months of 2021, Metinvest’s enterprises in Zaporizhzhya paid over UAH 4 billion to budgets of all levels, which is almost twice as much as it was in the same period of 2020 (UAH 2.3 billion in 9 months of 2020).
“Sustainable development of territories is impossible without stable business operations, which are reflected in tax deductions. In extremely difficult period Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhya have not only increased the amount of taxes transferred to local budgets by a one-quarter – up to 784 mln hryvnias for 9 months of the year. We implement the most important social and cultural initiatives in the region and continue investing into its development”, – said Alexander Mironenko, General Director of Zaporizhstal.
It became possible to increase the volume of tax deductions to the budgets of Ukraine and Zaporizhzhya region during the crisis due to favourable market conditions in the first half of 2021, growth of employee salaries and, consequently, growth of deductions for personal income tax and unified social security tax.
We would like to note that Metinvest Group is a responsible taxpayer: over 15 years of its existence, the Group has paid UAH 165 billion to the budgets of different levels providing the local communities with the funds for development.
We would like to remind, that in 2020, Metinvest Group, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred UAH 22.1 billion of taxes and duties to the budgets of all levels, which is 5% higher than the year before. Then Metinvest Group has decided not to use tax holidays provided by law No.3220 “On amending the Tax Code of Ukraine” to support businesses during the period of quarantine measures against coronavirus.
