Recall that Rinat Akhmetov allocated 300 million UAH to help Ukraine in the fight against COVID-19. To this end, he combined the resources of the Charity Fundations, FC Shakhtar, DTEK, Metinvest and other SCM assets.

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has purchased 300 thousand coronavirus rapid tests for the whole country. They have already been transferred to the Stabilization Fund, initiated by the President of Ukraine, and have now arrived in the regions.

Back in February, by personal decision of Rinat Akhmetov, the Founder of the Foundation was the first in the country who gave directions to react to the worldwide danger of the coronavirus epidemic. Required equipment to treat the coronavirus complications COVID-19 such as high-quality SERVO-I UNIVERSAL and SERVO AIR Swedish artificial lung ventilation (ALV) devices and oxygen concentrators was purchased and transferred to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

In particular, ALV devices received from the Foundation were installed in the Poltava Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, Rivne Central City Hospital and Transcarpathian Regional Hospital. The above-mentioned hospitals in Poltava and Rivne also were installed oxygen concentrators for artificial lung ventilation. Separately, the Foundation provided the Volyn Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital with the oxygen concentrator. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine had determined medical facilities, which have already received equipment from the Foundation.  In addition, the Foundation purchases sample analyzers and test cartridges for the medical equipment. This equipment has already been transferred to doctors in Kiev and Mariupol.

The Foundation also purchased personal protective equipment for Ukrainian doctors: EgoZlin biobag EBV is a unique insulating mobile box to transport the infectious patients; EOBO-20 EgoZlin is a protective biological and anti-chemical suit with filter and ventilation set; anti-chemical disposable overalls; infrared thermometers with a laser pointer; protective masks and goggles.

Another 22 ALV devices were installed in neonatal ambulances transferred by the Foundation to all regions of the country as a part of the “200 ambulances for Ukraine” project.

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development, created an educational series for teachers “Quarantine: Online Services for Teachers”. It allows you to master all the available algorithms that will help build the correct and effective work with students and parents during the quarantine period. A series of video courses is available on the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s Facebook page and Youtube channel.

Also, the Foundation, together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs , the Ministry of Health and the Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine, presented a new video project “COVID-19: what you need to know about the operation of artificial lung ventilation devices”. It is designed to help specialists, who will or are already using resuscitation equipment in practice to save patients with complications of coronavirus infection, quickly find a common language with modern digital medical equipment. The series will be available on the social networks pages of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and YouTube channel.

Together with the “Ukraine” TV channel, the Foundation created social videos urging older people to adhere to rule number one during quarantine – to stay at home. In the videos of the #БатькиВДОМА(Parents are staying at home), the presenters of the “Ukraine” channel, the ambassadors of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, Igor Pupkov, Oleg Panyuta , Grigory German, Alexey Sukhanov and the famous journalist Savik Shuster, participate.
