Zaporizhstal SW purchased 29 thousand of sweet New Year’s gifts for children, employees, Works’ veterans and foster children of the sponsored Child Welfare Institutions, directing about UAH 1.2 million for these purposes.
Within the social program of Metinvest named “Childhood Area”, Zaporizhstal SW allocated about UAH 330 thousand for the new-year gifts for the employees’ children at age of 2 to 13 years old (about 6 thousand children). Besides, Zaporizhstal SW arranged the New Year’s Festivities in the Metallurgists’ Culture Center, where over 10 thousand young citizens of Zaporozhye would be able to participate. The Works allocated about UAH 175 thousand for arrangement of the New Year’s matinees.
On the 19th of December, Zaporizhstal SW also organized a pageant devoted to the Saint Nicholas Day for 100 orphaned children, foster children of Zaporozhye Regional Centre of Social-Psychological Rehabilitation of Children, “Svitanok” and “Oberih” boarding-schools. The event is arranged jointly with Zaporozhye City’s Center of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth.
Besides these events, Zaporizhstal Steel Works traditionally forwarded the new-year gifts to 4 children’s sponsored institutions — “Solnyshko” Zaporozhye Regional Specialized Child- Care Center, Zaporozhye Regional Orphan Asylum, Educational Rehabilitation Boarding School No.3 and Boarding School No.9, for the total amount of UAH 52 thousand.
Let’s note that each employee of Zaporizhstal SW has also received a New Year’s gift — a box of chocolates, the Works allocated for these purposes about UAH 630 thousand.
