The establishment of a center for searching missing children in Zaporozhye marks a significant step in addressing the heart-wrenching issue of child disappearances. The efforts led by the All Ukraine Association “Searching of missing children” highlight the importance of collaboration among various sectors to find and assist missing children.

Non-governmental volunteer organization “All Ukraine association “Searching of missing children” was established in 2011 and is the only one in Ukraine that deals with the problems of missing children, their search, and preventive measures regarding escapes from home.

The main purpose of the Association is to look for missing children and to render adequate assistance and collaboration in searching, as well as distributing information through the Internet, mass media, and leaflets. In 2013, 356 children, including 22 babies, were found using the resources of the All Ukraine Center.

“It is very important to unite the efforts of militia, general public, and the business community for the searching of children. Only by joint efforts can we take a stand against the issue of missing children. Nowadays, there is a center in Zaporozhye from where we will coordinate the activities of the All Ukraine Association. Each found child is a step towards resolving social problems; it is the confidence that help will be provided, and they will come to rescue,” said Alexander Kurynniy, the coordinator of the “All Ukraine Association “Searching of missing children” in the Zaporozhskaya region.
