As a part of regional and social partnership programme of the Metinvest Group, Zaporizhstal steel works financed 750 thousand grn. for acquisition of three modern “ambulance cars”.
Fleet renewal with special medical vehicles became a part of the health care support programme of Zaporozhye region, with the purpose to create Zaporozhian region center for emergency medical treatment, to implement it the Integrated Iron and Steel Works “Zaporizhstal” budgeted 12 mln. grn.
Automobiles are equipped with all things needed for the first aid. In particular, there are handbarrows, lamps for air sanitation, ECG recorder, pulse oximeter, blood glucose monitor, machines for artificial lung ventilation (the so-called “bag valve masks”) in every car, as for children and adults there are regular and vacuum splints, oxygen inhaling apparatus and medical wallet. Cost of one equipped car — is 250 thousand grn. Each of the bought cars has good cross country ability and is usable at difficult access area.

“Ambulance cars” will be distributed for Right Bank ambulance substation in Zaporozhye, settlement Vasilievka and to the Melitopol region. Health care institutions will receive special vehicles in the nearest future.
It bears reminding, that in September 2013, Integrated Iron and Steel Works “Zaporizhstal”, as a part of project execution of the building regional emergency medical treatment center, financed acquisition and installation of the new safety system for “ambulance cars” in Zaporozhye region for the amount about 780 thousand grn.
