The «Zaporizhstal» Steel Works, according to principles of Metinvest Group in sphere of labour and industrial safety, has purchased the modern hi-tech equipment for ensuring of gas safety for workers of the Works – 43 new gas rescue air devices. The Works has allocated 1,7 million UAH for these purposes.
Gas-rescue apparatus consist of frame construction, the lung-governed oxygen automatic machine, panoramic mask and air cylinder. For insuring of continuous operation of gas rescue equipment the Works has purchased additionally 46 replaceable cylinders, 30 panoramic masks and powerful compressor for pumping of the air, which can fill simultaneously four cylinders with air within five minutes. Also two repair kit sets for the compressor has been purchased, with the designed 500 and 1000 hours of operation each. Special device “Tester-2100” also is purchased for checking of the equipment.

The new equipment will allow to raise level of industrial safety and to avoid emergency situations in the main production shops and at gas facilities installations of the Works. In addition, this year the Works invests around 250 thousand UAH for purchasing of special vehicle for Gas Rescue department.
Let us notice that in June 2014 for insuring of gas safety of workers, the Works has purchased the device of artificial lung ventilation “Gornospasatel-10” and the device for breathing reanimation “Gornospasatel-11r”, which are used for respirogenesis of the external breathing of the person.
