In 2019, “Zaporizhstal” organized a summer wellness vacation for more than 5,000 employees, their families and veterans of the enterprise. The works’ investments in the health promotion campaign amounted to more than 21.6 million UAH.
About 4000 employees and their families rested in health resorts on the shore of the Azov Sea: in a boarding house “Metallurg” (Novokonstantinovka village), recreation centers, “Mriya” (Primorsk city), “Chayka” (Kyrylivka town settlement) and in other recreation facilities all over Ukraine. Traditionally, the works, according to the terms of preferential rehabilitation, paid up to 60% cost of permit.
In summer season, children’s health institutions such as “Sputnik” (Velikiy Lug), “Albatros” and “Primorsky” (Genichesk, Arabatskaya Strelka) took 1000 children of employees. Sports and creative leisure, holidays “Day with an enterprise” were organized for kids as part of Metinvest corporate program “Territory of childhood”. In addition, a new project “scientific STEM – Alvarium camp” was launched in Sputnik camp that gave children the opportunity to play in a playful way to gain additional knowledge and practical skills in the field of natural sciences.
The veterans of the enterprise also got better and rested in summer. 450 former employees of the works have got subsidized sanatoria and holiday-homes vouchers to the “Metallurg” boarding house (Novokonstantinovka village), as well as a free transport for combatants to the sanatorium and back, which are located on Khortytsia island.
