Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, i.e. Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhcoke, Zaporozhogneupor and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Works, presented New Year gift packages to their employees’ children. Around 3.8 million hryvnias were allocated for the purchase of the presents.
Traditionally, Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhia greet their employees’ children up to 16 years of age with present packages for New Year holidays. This year, over 8,000 presents packages were purchased, which included handmade chocolates and arts & crafts kits. In total, Metinvest Group will give more than 60 thousand New Year present packages to the employees’ children from 36 Ukrainian and foreign enterprises.
Also, over 600 boarders of the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children, the Regional Specialized Infant Orphanage “Solnyshko” and the Boarding Schools “Svitanok” and “Oberih” received sweet packages from Zaporizhstal for St. Nicholas Day.
It should be mentioned that on 17 December 2021, in time for New Year holidays, a unique New Year village with the residence of St. Nicholas was inaugurated in Kozatske Kolo square reconstructed as part of the reconstruction of Khortytsia island. The festive site for residents and guests of Zaporizhzhia was created by the regional and city authorities with support from Zaporizhstal Iron & Steel Works of Metinvest Group.
