According to the program of environmental production modernization, PJSC «Zaporizhstal» started trial and production operation of a new cast house aspiration system of blast furnace No. 2 (BF-2). Investments amounted to about UAH 80 million.
The aspiration device is equipped with high efficiency bag filters with impulse regeneration, Howden (Germany) company’s powerful draft equipment and a pneumatic system for the return of collected dust in production. DP-2 aspiration system’s working will provide the dusting level to 20 mg per cubic meter of air that compliant with European standards.
«The Works continues to retool production equipment with gas cleanings of a new generation, more powerful and efficient. We are focused on environmental problems solving – this is our priority and the vector of development of our company», mentioned the General Director of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» Rostyslav Shurma.
Over the last four years PJSC «Zaporizhstal» has invested UAH 5.6 billion own funds in environmental modernization. The major projects made during this period are a new sintering machine No. 1 with the high-performance gas cleaning system, gas cleaning construction at sintering machines Nos. 2 to 6, large-scale modernization of blast furnace No. 4 with the installation of a cast house aspiration system and stock house trestle, major repair of blast furnace No. 2 with the construction of a new cast house aspiration system and construction of a new pickling line at cold rolling shop (CPL-4).
