PJSC Zaporizhstal placed the largest national flag of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region

On the occasion of the National Flag Day and the Independence Day of Ukraine, Zaporizhstal Steel Works Metinvest, with the assistance of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, put over the Dnipro river state flag with an area of ​​400 m2. The national symbol was placed on the Arch Bridge connecting the residential areas of Zaporizhzhia with the island of Khortytsya.

 

“Wherever a person is in the world, seeing the flag of his country, he mentally returns home, recalls his family and relatives. The originality, identity and sovereignty of the country are «stich up» in this positive symbol. The flag, set by Zaporizhstal, symbolizes the unification of Ukrainians of different religious, political and other views under a common denominator – love for the homeland and desire to make it strong”, said CEO of Zaporizhstal Steel Works Aleksandr Mironenko.

A specially made flag 25×16 m is mounted on temporary structures that do not violate the integrity and reliability of the bridge supports. A company specializing in industrial mountaineering mounted it.

For the coming holidays, Zaporizhstal will also install a large banner at the highest point at the plant. The state flag of Ukraine with an area of ​​9 m2 will be installed on blast furnace No. 3, modernized as part of the environmental transformation of the enterprise. In addition to the state banners placed on the administrative and production buildings of the Works, Ukrainian flags will also be installed at the gates.
