Zaporozhye region, as one of the participants of the program “EU4Skills:The best skills of the modern Ukraine” was visited by a delegation from Germany.
The EU4Skills program is aimed at the development of vocational and technical education in Ukraine.As part of this program a memorandum was signed in Zaporozhye between Zaporozhye Polytechnic Centre of Vocational and Technical Education, Ukrainian Social Investment Fund, Zaporozhye Regional Public Administration and Zaporozhye City Council for the financial assistance of the core institutions of our region in the preparation of qualified workers.
As part of their visit the delegation visited Zaporozhye Polytechnic Centre of Vocational and Technical Education, familiarized themselves with the development of the dual education system, found out about how the preparation of specialists of worker occupations was carried out, as well as visited PJSC “Zaporozhstal”.
– The EU4Skills program has several objectives.One of them is raising the prestige of vocational and technical education in Ukraine.The second one is the improvement and modernization of the educational and technical infrastructure of industry-specific educational institutions, – as Head of Department for Staff Recruitment and Development of PJSC “Zaporozhstal” Sergey Koypysh mentioned. – METINVEST Company and PJSC “Zaporozhstal” in particular are interested in the graduated, who completely met the modern requirements to production and the market.
Zaporozhye enterprises of METINVEST take an active part in the modernization of vocational education in the region and consistently support Zaporozhye Polytechnic Centre. Last yeat, owing to the support of PJSC “Zaporozhstal” centres for training welders and electrical fitters were established and they have been working. The enterprises also financially assist a vocational school in equipping the educational infrastructure.
