Such a decision was voted on the 9th of August by the General Director of JSC “Zaporizhstal” R.I. Shurma. New work clothes, the samples of whish are “being tested” in the working conditions of JSC “Zaporizhstal” have already given a good account of itself in the working conditions of many metallurgical companies of Ukraine. The General Director emphasizes that if new clothes are approved by employees of JSC “Zaporizhstal” the commercial department of the works will start the purchasing of it immediately. The change will be smooth because there are still in the storehouses work clothing ensembles, purchased this year. The new samples of working gloves also will be added to working equipment.
The works spent 10 mln. UAH a year on work clothes formerly. By the decision of the General Director 35 million UAH will be spent additionally on annual purchasing of work clothes and gloves.
– This will be our first big social investment — told Rostislav Igorevich — The employees of JSC “Zaporizhstal” will work in new work clothes. It is necessary for metallurgists not only to be dressed conveniently and safely, but also to feel comfortably at the working place.”
The director of the works charged the Labor Protection Department to find out the need of boilersuits in each subdivision of the works. The members of shop trade union committee and social inspectors for labor protection will help in organization of presentations of new work clothes and gloves in workshops and departments.
