The Strategy of Expanding Sales Markets Was Discussed At “Zaporizhstal”


On July 26-27, 2018, “Zaporizhstal” held an annual conference of sales services of Metinvest Group’s enterprises “METINVEST SALES 2018”. The main aim of the conference was to increase the competitiveness of the company by developing the service, improving the quality of products and reducing its cost.

The conference participants focused on activities aimed at improving the customer centricity of sales function, improving the service for consumers of products around the world.

Representatives of sales services also visited “Zaporizhstal” main production areas and got acquainted with the production process of the enterprise and a large-scale program of ecological modernization, where the Steel Works invested more than UAH 8.8 billion.

“The products produced by Zaporizhzhia city plants, primarily “Zaporizhstal”, are very important for Metinvest and important for many consumers in different countries – Ukraine, Turkey, Europe, Middle East and the American market. The development of service to our customers, improving the quality of products and reducing costs are the three key pillars on which the competitiveness of our company rests,” – said Dmitriy Nikolaenko, Sales Director of Metinvest.

The cooperation of “Zaporizhstal” with Zaporizhzhia river port represented a special interest in the context of the customer centricity service for the guests of the conference: over six years of partnership, a modern system of accounting and efficient storage of rolled stock was successfully implemented in the port, which increased the port capacity and transport loading speed. Since 2012, the Steel Works has sent over 3 million tons of steel products through the port.
