“Zaporizhstal” scholarship program has been running since 2015 and aimed at supporting of the best students and motivating their academic, scientific, and practical activities. Every year, the works awards scholarships to students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of Zaporozhye city. For four years, around 400 students were awarded with works’ scholarships, the total budget of the program amounted to 1.1 million UAH.
In 2019, the new season of the scholarship program started – following the results of two sessions of 2018-2019. 38 best students of Zaporozhye National Technical University, Zaporozhye National University, ZNU Engineering Institute and ZNU Metallurgical College will receive Zaporizhstal’ scholarships. Since 2018, the annual budget of the program has been increased from 230 thousand UAH to 440 thousand UAH.
Scholarship support from the works stimulates the interest of students in obtaining quality education, even at the training stage lays the foundation for a successful professional career. All scholarship holders have the opportunity of priority employment at the enterprise. Every year, around 200 young professionals choose “Zaporizhstal’ industrial complex as the launching pad for their future career.
“Zaporizhstal” scholarship holders can become students of the following areas in demand of the enterprise: metallurgy, power system, logistics, automation of technological processes, economics. Jobseekers should have a good academic performance, participate in scientific activities, and extensively demonstrate their civic position. Grant-aided students can undergo practical training at the enterprise, study at the Campus Innovation Center and at the unique electronic simulator of the Pascal bridge crane, and attend a youth hub. The company has the programs for youth, scientific and technical conferences, forums, master classes, sports and cultural events.
