Zaporizhstal Confirms Its Compliance with the International Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Safety Standards

Zaporizhstal successfully passed a compliance audit of its integrated quality and environment management system as per ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 and a recertification audit in terms of requirements of ISO 45001:2018. Occupational Health and Safety Standard.

In November 2021, auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine audited Zaporizhstal’s departments for compliance with the requirements set forth by the international standards of the integrated quality, environment, and occupational safety management system. The audit covered such shops as sinter plant, blast furnace shop, oxygen plant, compressor house, hot and cold rolling mills, heat and power plant, radioisotope laboratory, railway transport department, etc.

During the audit, the auditors gave a high rating to the functioning of the integrated management system, efficient preventive quality management system, commitment to the environmentally friendly solutions implemented at the enterprise, and informal approach the employees use to the occupational safety issues.

Based on the audit results, Zaporizhstal is recommended for extending the ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 19001:2015 compliance certificates and for obtaining a certificate confirming compliance with ISO 45001:2018. Occupational Safety Standard.

It should be noted that Zaporizhstal was certified in 2008, and it regularly confirms its compliance with international standards in terms of environment management systems, energy management systems, quality management systems, and occupational safety management systems.
