“Zaporizhstal”, following the tradition of support for the older generation, congratulated the veterans on the 75th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in World War II.
“Like no other, the price of freedom and peace is known to our veterans, who went through a fierce war and restored the country from the ashes. We owe them everything we have today. Our duty is to take care of the older generation,” said Alexander Mironenko, Director General of “Zaporizhstal” PJSC.
250 veterans of Zaporizhzhia, combatants and home front workers, received gifts from “Zaporizhstal” metallurgists on Victory Day: holiday food sets, bedding sets. Moreover, “Zaporizhstal”, “Zaporizhogneupor” and “Zaporizhkoks” provided charitable financial assistance to regional and city organizations of veterans in the amount of 40 thousand UAH.
By the memorable date, material assistance was also provided to the combatants, the physically challenged and the participants of the Second World War, prisoners of concentration camps, family members of the victims. Traditionally, “Zaporizhstal” provides support to its veterans: the Works guarantees them medical insurance and medical care, pays additional financial support quarterly and on holidays, and supports the activities of the Council of Veterans of the enterprise.
In total, “Zaporizhstal” Works annually sends more than 17 million UAH to support the company’s veterans.
