“Zaporizhstal” has traditionally acted as a partner of the second Tourism Business Forum 2018, which took place in the city of Zaporozhye on November 27-28. The forum brought together 55 experts in the following areas: marketing, tourism office, gastro and festivals. The event has been attended by over 1000 guests from all over Ukraine.
The forum framework presented trends and innovations in the tourism industry, held panel discussions with the participation of top speakers: journalist Dmitry Gordon, musician Dmitry Shurov, economist Pavel Sheremet, showman Anatoly Anatolich. Informational stands of enterprises and companies related to the tourism industry were also presented, including Zaporizhstal works, which is actively developing industrial tourism.
Zaporizhstal works presented at the forum a unique “Zaporizhstal cinema” mini-cinema with film screenings dedicated to famous Zaporozhye citizens, history and popular tourist sites of the city.
Zaporizhstal develops industrial tourism since 2012 – starting points of active modernization and reconstruction of the enterprise. During this period, over 9 billion hryvnas of green investment have been directed to the environmental modernization of production.
From 2012 to 2018 the number of industrial tourists Zaporizhstal exceeded 16 thousand. More than 2500 people visit the works annually. These are foreign guests, government delegations of different levels, figures of culture, education, sports, journalists, schoolchildren, students, as well as residents of Zaporozhye.
– Industrial tourism is one of the trends of Zaporozhye, which attracts tourists from all over the world to our city. In Zaporozhye there are many unique industrial facilities – modern metallurgical works, an aircraft engine building plant, the world’s largest hydroelectric power plant. Every year, Zaporizhstal receives hundreds of delegations at various levels, we share our history and achievements, show guests the production and modernization of the works”, said Rostislav Shurma, general director of Zaporizhstal works.
Remind that in 2017, the works acted as a partner of the first tourism business forum, which brought together more than 1000 participants – representatives of the Hospitality Industry Association, leading tour operators, restaurateurs, and experts in the tourism industry from different cities of Ukraine.
