On the occasion of the Day of Metallurgical and Mining Industry Workers of Ukraine, the best of the best employees of Zaporizhstal were given honorary awards and prizes for achieving success in their professional activities.
On the professional holiday, 49 employees of Zaporizhstal received awards at the regional, city and industry levels, as well as letters and certificates of honour from Metinvest. For the best achievements in the workplace, Metinvest’s certificates of honour were awarded to the teams of five divisions of the plant: sinter, blast-furnace,BOF shops, as well as hot rolling and water supply shops. The labour dynasty of the Barynovs with a total of 241 years of employment duration at the plant was awarded the “Golden Dynasty of Metinvest” distinction. All awarded employees and teams received cash prizes
Well-deserved honours were presented to the employees by the General Director of Zaporizhstal Olexander Myronenko:
“Metallurgists are real heroes. Despite the difficult times, everyone works conscientiously to continue supporting the country in the struggle for peace and independence. I am grateful to the whole team for their professionalism, reliability and courage. These are the qualities that will help us survive and win!”
Andriy Zapysov, foreman of the air separation unit department of Zaporizhstal BOF shop, received the company’s highest award, the Gold Star of Metinvest. High corporate honour was presented to Zaporizhstal employee by Yuriy Ryzhenkov, General Director of Metinvest Group:
“Metallurgists and miners have strong characters, and the challenges of war made them even stronger. For the sake of victory, Metinvest employees opened their steel front. They stay at their workplaces to help the army, support the country’s economy, take care of people who are forced to leave their homes due to hostilities. The strength of the company is in each of you, in your selfless work and love for Ukraine.”
