As a part of the modernization program for technical training, “Zaporizhstal” has equipped a special training class for operators of the metallurgical crane. Students doing internship at the enterprise received a unique opportunity to study on the PASKAL interactive electronic simulator of the overhead crane. Investments in the equipment of the class amounted about UAH 400 000.
The simulator demonstrates the design and the principle of operation of the crane, its mechanisms, and models the production tasks that future steelworkers perform during training.
In 2018, under “Zaporizhstal” cooperation program with higher and vocational educational institutions of Zaporizhzhia, about 1200 students will undergo introductory, production and predegree practice at the enterprise.
To ensure the most comfortable adaptation of young people at the Steel Works, future steelworkers are introduced to the job under the guidance of experienced mentors. In addition to the first production experience, the best students receive a priority right – internship with employment. In 2018, 110 students will undergo a paid internship at “Zaporizhstal”.
Since 2015, “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works has been implementing a motivational program for the payment of nominal scholarships to the best Zaporizhzhia students of vocational institutions. During this time, about 400 best students of Zaporizhzhia received nominal scholarships of the Steel Works. In 2018, the annual scholarship fund of the program was increased from UAH 230 000 to UAH 440 000.
